MEDIA BROWSER
Lightweight media browser
Browser you media files
MediaBrowser is a fast, lightweight media browser for macOS. Point it at a folder and start browsing immediately: no library import, catalog rebuild, or background processing step required.
It is built for people who want to review, compare, trim, clean up, and export local media without opening a full editor.
Browse the way your files are already organized
– Open local folders directly.
– Navigate subfolders with a Finder-style sidebar, favorites, back/forward/up controls, and path navigation.
– Switch between detail and thumbnail views.
– Filter images or videos, search visible media, and sort by name, creation date, or edit date.
– Find exact and near visual duplicates.
Images and animated images
– View JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, GIF, BMP, APNG, and WebP files.
– Zoom, rotate, crop, and inspect image details.
– Adjust brightness, exposure, saturation, shadows, contrast, black point, texture, and clarity.
– Use built-in and custom adjustment presets.
– Save edits as new files or replace the current file when needed.
Video review and export
– Preview common video formats including MOV, MP4, M4V, MKV, AVI, WMV, WebM, OGV, FLV, MPEG, MTS, and 3GP.
– Scrub quickly, step frame by frame, and change playback speed.
– Mark one or more sections directly on the timeline.
– Crop, rotate, adjust color, and export edited MP4 video.
– Capture the current frame as a JPEG.
– Export selected video sections as GIF, animated WebP, or APNG.
File management without the fuss
– Rename single files or batch-rename selected media.
– Create folders, move items, merge or replace folder conflicts, and move media to Trash.
– Drag and drop files and folders while staying inside your local folder structure.
– Choose default export locations and shortcuts in Settings.
Mediabrowser focuses on fast review and practical output. It is not a heavyweight editor and it does not force your files into a separate catalog. Your folders stay your folders.
Some advanced editing and export tools require Mediabrowser Pro.
